Wool Nepps are a great way to add texture to your wet felting, nuno felting, and spinning projects. (I've even heard tell of some needle felters making use of them!) ;D

For wet felting, I find nepps to be easiest to lay out after wetting my initial base design. Sometimes nepps felt in easily, particularly when using courser wools, but sometimes they can be stubborn little things, so be sure to cover them with the tiniest wisp of wool to help secure them to your felting project. It also helps to keep them in a single layer.
